      Abstract

      The article analyzes the tension between fundamental rights, focusing on the conflict between the right to life, human dignity, and individual autonomy (free will) in the context of end-of-life decisions. It criticizes state paternalism and proposes an interpretation of the right to life that transcends mere biological existence, advocating for the concept of "dignified life" and the patient's right to self-determination in cases of futile treatments or terminality.
