main theories underlying conflict mediation
Keywords:
Mediation, Systemic Theory, AutopoiesisAbstract
This descriptive work aims to identify and describe the main theories underlying conflict mediation. It describes Bertalanffy's general systems theory, first and second-order cybernetics, Maturana and Varela's autopoiesis — with brief contributions from Niklas Luhmann's theory — and Edgar Morin's complex thinking. The study addresses the lack of explicit epistemological bases for the institute in official materials.
