Abstract

The article addresses family adverse possession as an instrument for land regularization and social protection, discussing the proposals for updating the Brazilian Civil Code. It analyzes the institute's effectiveness in light of the protection of vulnerabilities, especially in the context of female-headed households and domestic violence, proposing a reading from a gender perspective.
