    Abstract

    The article discusses the impact of technological innovations in supplementary health and the emergence of conflicts between the attending physician's prescription and the health plans' auditing. The author proposes the use of a medical board as a technical and efficient mediation mechanism, capable of providing a reasoned third opinion, aiming to reduce litigation and ensure a balance between the right to treatment and the viability of the health system.
