    Abstract

    The article analyzes the preliminary draft of the Brazilian Civil Code reform, emphasizing that the main objective is to align the legal text with the constitutional mandate of equality. It addresses crucial changes in Family Law, such as the elimination of discrimination in filiation and assisted reproduction, the valuation of stable unions, and the introduction of new topics such as Digital Civil Law, reflecting the need for updates in light of new social and technological realities.

      Doctor of Civil Law from USP. Professor of Civil Law at the Law School of Mackenzie Presbyterian University and at the Master's program of the Escola Paulista de Direito. State Councilor of OABSP. Consultant Member of the Jurists Commission for the update and revision of the Civil Code.
