    Abstract

    The present work analyzes the importance of formalities in the recognition of persons in Brazilian criminal procedure law, highlighting the transition from the inquisitorial to the accusatory system. The article discusses the fallibility of human memory, system and estimator variables, and how the CNJ Resolution 484/2022 establishes guidelines to minimize judicial errors and guarantee constitutional rights in the recognition of suspects.
