Abstract

The article analyzes the judgment of ADI 5,761 by the STF, which assessed the constitutionality of Law No. 3,271/2013 of the State of Rondônia regarding the civil firefighter profession. The author explores the Court's understanding of the Union's exclusive competence to legislate on labor law and conditions for professional practice, highlighting the validity of the reproduction of federal norms by the States under the aegis of cooperative federalism, provided there is no innovation or conflict with national regulations.
