The article analyzes the STF's landmark judgment on the liability of digital platforms for damages resulting from third-party generated content. It discusses the constitutionality of article 19 of the Civil Framework for the Internet, which requires a prior court order for the civil liability of providers, except in specific cases of crimes and fundamental rights violations. The author reflects on the balance between freedom of expression, the legal security of technology companies, and the protection of human dignity in the digital environment.
