    Abstract

    The article analyzes the applicability of the sunset clause in Brazilian Family Property Law. The author discusses the concept, dynamics, and scope of the institute, defending its immediate viability and usefulness as an instrument of private autonomy and self-determination for couples in the current legal system.

      Master of Laws from PUC-SP and professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). Judge at the Court of Justice of Bahia. Member of the Academy of Legal Letters of Bahia and the Brazilian Institute of Contract Law. Author of several legal works published by Editora Saraiva.
