Vol. 1 No. 48 (2025): 8 Years of the Labor Reform: Reflections and Perspectives
The 2017 Labor Reform transcends mere regulatory change; it represents the condensed expression of a class struggle within a context of reconfiguration of social forces in Brazil. Its formulation and approval process reveal a deliberate political choice to rebalance the correlation of forces in favor of capital, shifting legal protection toward a privatized and fragmented contractual logic. By reducing the strength of the law and expanding the individualization of conflicts, the Reform invisibilized the concrete experience of workers and emptied their resistance mechanisms. It is within this critical context that the 48th edition of the ESASP Journal - Virtual Scientific Journal of the Escola Superior de Advocacia of OAB/SP is presented, featuring 15 articles that, together, trace a comprehensive and critical overview of the multiple developments of the Reform.
